Agree, I feel the same. Although it should be noted, Communist policy in China is what led to the adoption of many unsafe food practices still present today. That cultural mentality, one which arose out of necessity due to the scarcity communism brings, is one still very real for a lot of older people in China. And while the unsafe practices need to end, we can have empathy for the origins of it.
& its easy to say "they need regulation". Sure, but regs are meaningless unless enforced. And regulations that make it harder for poor people in China to get food won't help either. Regs don't exist in a vacuum, you have to look at The CCPs control of citizens in a broader lens
