That cultural mentality, one which arose out of necessity due to the scarcity communism brings, is one still very real for a lot of older people in China. And while the unsafe practices need to end, we can have empathy for the origins of it.
& its easy to say "they need regulation". Sure, but regs are meaningless unless enforced. And regulations that make it harder for poor people in China to get food won& #39;t help either. Regs don& #39;t exist in a vacuum, you have to look at The CCPs control of citizens in a broader lens
