Sanders hired Twitter trolls instead of people who actually know politics and it cost him the nomination.
This was the "own the libs" campaign, but from the left.

There never was an actual attempt to win.
And it would seem there was no coordination or directives that anyone followed, and was a months long party bus full of grifters making money for doing nothing but shitposting on social media.
There was no order. There was no strategy. There was no chain of command.
People who gave good advice were constantly ignored in favor of losers like Nina Turner, who for whatever reason they thought would be their ambassador to black people.

Yeah, that didn't end well, did it.
Hoping your opponent messes up is not a strategy, it's a confession you can't win on your own ideas and positions.
The candidate himself provided no leadership or direction and let the worst malcontents onto the campaign, and essentially gave them free reign.
