Are people still doing takeout?

I'm not. Stopped two weeks ago altogether, when I heard a doctor on one of those corona podcasts say he wouldn't, if health (as opposed to health and the economy) were the only consideration.

People are telling me other countries have stopped.
I know it's not food-borne, but if doctors don't have PPE, we can't assume restaurant workers who don't have sick pay do.

Anyone could cough on the food, on the cardboard/plastic/aluminum takeout containers...

We have high numbers here.
Yes, grocery store is safer.

Everyone should be putting veggies that will be eaten raw in a water bath with a drop of bleach before eating.

Both to kill the virus and because FDA inspections have been drastically cut. Kills parasites too. Perfectly safe, esp since...
..., if your water supply is safe, you can rinse the bleach off with cold water before you eat them.
Nothing from the grocery store should be eaten as is.

Wipe down containers, bleach exposed veggies before eating, cook everything else.

That's the thing about takeout, you eat it as is.
The bleach thing...

Is what people in countries without a safe water supply do.

If you have a safe water supply, you can just rinse it off.
I've been thinking the same things. https://twitter.com/seefryar/status/1248333013676634121?s=19
And also, that restaurants are going to be trying to get rid of older foods.

Potential for foodborne illness seems increased too.
Back to raw veggies...

If you don't do the bleach bath, I would stop eating raw vegetables.
