Today we’re announcing six month funded extensions for PhD students due to complete their studies by 31 March 2021 who have been impacted by Covid19 https://bit.ly/3ejb2vM 

The extension is on offer for final year students who have had their training disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. This will be reviewed in four months’ time to ensure that any further impacts to doctoral training are taken into account.

We understand that the current situation is impacting everyone. For students whose end date is after 31st March 2021, the advice remains that of 26th March 2020, which expects that extensions be considered on a case-by-case basis and costs be met from training grant underspend
