Coronavirus is and will remain a serious threat for the foreseeable future. There is no disputing its danger and devastating impact on public health.

We have to learn to live in the new reality and transition from suppression (lockdown) to mitigation (safe, slow reopening). https://twitter.com/mi_republicans/status/1248313309092290560
We must have a plan to reopen ‘non-essential’ businesses that can safely operate with proper PPE and social distancing. Keeping all non-essential businesses closed for months will only exacerbate the pain and suffering coronavirus has caused.
Priority: businesses for whom delay at this point in season will cause irreparable damage (greenhouses, landscaping, etc) or whose stalled projects will add exponential costs (like construction). All contingent on suitable PPE availability and ability to social distance at work.
Gradually phase in other sectors after testing capability (including antibody) ramps up and is proven effective. Allow county health departments and county commissions to have greater say and case-by-case allowance for industries like manufacturing and specialty retail.
