A reminder that not everyone currently refusing to vote for Biden is some toxic Bernie Bro.

I'm a rape and molestation survivor who will dutifully hold my nose and cast my vote in November. That being said, I would never, EVER presume to shame others into voting for him.
I'm saddened by how many straight white people I know who are already actively trying to guilt other demographics into falling in line.

PLEASE stay in your fucking lane.
Heavy, brutal Cassandra feels during the 2015/2016 election season damn near destroyed my entire life. Since then, learning to sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up more often has yielded some of the deepest healing a privileged af white woman like me could ever hope for.
For the record, I would have had to hold my nose for Bernie Sanders, too.
But the wheels came off a while ago, right? How are we ever gonna defeat Kleptocracy if we turn on one another, or treat one another the way the MAGA cult is currently treating the entire world?
I say this with grief and love and more than a touch of anger, too:
With Biden as president, survivors will be forced to constantly revisit every single clip we've ever seen of him robbing women and children of their agency.
The inappropriate touching/stroking/groping/kissing of little girls. His betrayal of Anita Hill. The pride he took, VERY recently, in saying he had "no empathy" for young activists. The credible rape and assault allegations.
No one has ANY right to shame me, now or ever, for being *absolutely devastated* that this is the guy we have to rally around in order to defeat Trump.
So I sure as hell won't be shaming anyone else.
Just lost a bunch of followers for posting this. Ah well.
