Attention students! Help shape the legacy of Missouri’s bicentennial commemoration! The Missouri Bicentennial Commission is excited to announce the launch of the Bicentennial Poster Contest, open to 3rd – 12th graders in Missouri.
The Commission seeks designs that interpret the theme, "Sharing Missouri's stories: past, present & future." Four designs that best interpret this theme will be selected and winners will receive $200, a certificate of achievement and an invitation to the unveiling of the poster.
The contest is now open and runs through October 31st, 2020. Each student entry must be sponsored by an eligible institution, which includes public and private schools, home-school networks, non-profit arts agencies, cultural heritage institutions, and public libraries.
The Missouri Bicentennial Commission has partnered with Hallmark Creative Marketing Studio to translate the chosen designs into final poster artwork. The COVID-19 pandemic, undoubtedly, complicates the sponsorship process.
