I just saw the Artsy 16 Influential Young Curators list and while pleased to see BIPOC, I couldn't help but wonder why there aren't lists like this for educators or public programmers.
Like I would love to know the people behind like some of these incredibly successful youth programs that are changing lives. I want to know the people who are creating innovative access programs for all ages.
I want to know the people who have taken a -$2 budget and put together an incredible program that led to a successful grant-funded program. And have them be RECOGNIZED for it.
There are so many other people in museums besides the directors and the curators, but I feel like that's all we ever see outside of the museum circles.
