pls for the love of god how is this still a conversation that needs to be had: STOP VISITING PEOPLE YOU DONT LIVE WITH. STOP GOING PLACES. JUST STOP.

1) just because it’s only 1 or 2 people, they could have also contacted 1 or 2 people who could have contacted 1 or 2 people who could have (you see where I’m going with this?) this is especially salient when the people visiting live in houses with multiple others in it.

2) yea you know what I’m gonna be selfish on this one: I don’t want this shit to go on forever. No one does. But it will if people keep ignoring what true physical distancing means.

3) I know it’s hard not be around people right now. It’s lonely and it sucks. I get it. Visiting people is NOT the answer because, AGAIN, the more people keep ignoring physical distancing the longer this goes on.

4) continuing to visit with people is putting other people’s lives at risk not to mention your own. Just don’t. Pick up the phone instead. I know it’s not the same but you can’t unknowingly contract or pass on anything from a video call. You can from visiting.

5) go for a walk (ONLY with people you live with), go for a drive (ONLY with people you live with) just please STOP going out to hang out with people.

6) I’m not ending this thread with some heartfelt message or a silver lining. The positive message SHOULD be that physical distancing will save lives. I’m frustrated people don’t seem to understand that physical distancing needs to be taken seriously. Do ur groceries and go home.

7) No ones going to be perfect in taking precautions - forgetting to Lysol groceries, standing a little too close to someone in the pasta aisle - it’s going to happen, but conscious, continued physical distancing is a baseline precaustion which is, at this point, the absolute,

8) most effective way to flatten the curve, that it MUST be adhered to. Choosing to make an exception for oneself (as a non-essential worker) to go physically hang out with people is the wrong choice right now.

9) I’m sure we’ve all seen this quote but it’s worth repeating: if you were to contract COVID-19 and had to tell the doctors all the people you’ve been in contact with and places you’ve been over the past 14 days, would you be okay with your reply?
