1/Short #COVID19 rant. Am at home, w/3 kids. Can't buy wipes, masks. Every time we go out it's a risk. We are all together here, navigating; we are providing day to day oversight schools normally provide.

US govt has done NOTHING to make this easier. ALL of this is on us.

2/US govt also didn't prepare for the medical onslaught. PPE, surge, etc. All of this has been managed at state and local level, at the providers themselves.

Again, the sacrifice, the management, the struggle, the dying, the sickness - all of this is on us. US govt nowhere.

3/11 weeks since the 1st COVID case in the US, we still have no national testing regime, and are 45th in the world - 45th! in testing rates. People with symptoms but not in the hospital can't get tests. A neighbor just got a positive result 9 days after taking the test. 9 days!

4/If the rate of infection has started to slow it will be in DESPITE OF TRUMP not because of him. While people across this country are losing their jobs, health insurance, their health, and families struggle to get by at home he's literally done NOTHING. We are all on our own.

5/And of course, because the American people are strong, resilient and good, within minutes of posting this thread 3 different people reached out offering to help with masks.
