While it's true that lolis do act as normie-repellent sometimes, it's important to remember that the whole lolis=kids=pedo=bad thing is a matter of perspective that takes several logical jumps to get to. I didn't see the connection when I first go in to anime, and I've had frank/
conversations with my parents and other friends and family who said they didn't see it at first. To lots of people, the normal ones, anime girls are just a gloriously strange and exotic exaggeration of various features which have no bearing on real life. Unfortunately, the toxic/
SJW, or "anti" mindset spreads like a disease, infecting even the minds of strong-willed people who, despite refusing to bow to the pressure to feel shame, nevertheless are now aware of the aforementioned logical leaps. The divide within the anime fandom that exits now is such a/
crying shame. People who don't have a strong will, the kinds of people who cave to social pressure, are happy to go along with the narrative, sizing up every anime girl with a ruler to see if the shoulders are bit too narrow or the head to body ratio is a little too big, or the/
breasts too small... and then that anime girl, that anime, that story, that piece of art, is nothing but a symbol of something rotten. It's destructive to art, and to beauty, because something that could have been beautiful was muddied by looking at it through a dirty lens.
