If you’ve passed the CV review stage to interview stage, then the recruiter already likes something about you.

The interview stage is where you can then convince them that you’re the best candidate for the role.

🧵

HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR INTERVIEW SKILLS
🥇 Have the right mindset.
When you appear timid and scared at an interview, it can come off as you being incapable of doing the job.

Instead of seeing yourself as “just another applicant”, see yourself as a consultant who’s coming to use your skills to grow the company.
🧑🏽‍💼 Control the interview.
You control how interviewers react by how you answer their questions. In order to get the best out of job interviews, answer questions in an engaging, tactful and intelligent manner. That way, you’ll intrigue them even more.
🤓 Use storytelling to let them know why you’re a great fit for the job role.

Tell stories of what you did in previous employments and the things achieved as a result of your work.

Use the STAR to narrate:
Situation
Task
Action
Results
🧐 Ensure you’re a great fit before applying.

Sometimes, you get to the interview stage before realizing that you should never have applied for the job in the first place.

Avoid this by carrying out thorough research on the company, work culture and the role before applying.
Are you job hunting?
Don’t stop applying even in this lock down (people are still getting jobs!)
Be optimistic.
