Never forget.

Sanaa Mehaidli, a young Southern Lebanese girl who sacrificed her life for the freedom of South Lebanon from the brutal Israeli occupation.

Aged 18, she conducted a self-martyrdom operation and blew her Peugeot next to an Israeli occupation convoy.

Rest in Glory
Bride of the South.

I translated small parts of her recorded will prior her martyrdom.

Listen to her words and to the reasons that pushed her towards this brave act.

35 years later, Sanaa remains a symbol of resistance and an icon of sacrifice and freedom in the Levant.
Sanaa was one of the main early martyrs of the Lebanese struggle against the Israeli occupation of the South.

The first martyrs paved the way for the popular resistance movements and operations that led to the liberation of the south.
