I've always wanted to relive Euro 2000 and this is a perfect chance to go through all 31 games as if the tournament is happening at this time. (Thread)
Belgium Vs. Sweden

Tournament opener. Sweden, who finished nine points ahead of England in qualifiers, started the game in ascendency while the expectation was so low for co-hosts Belgium.
Goor's solo strike at the end of 1st half and Mpenza's bullet right after the break saw Belgium seal a surprise win, though. Mjällby pulled one back after De Wilde's comedic error but the keeper made amends with a brilliant save from Lujnberg soon after.
Winger Verheyen was also another standout player but his best moment came when he nearly entered the pitch after an injury not knowing Belgium already made a decision and substituted him off.
Italy Vs. Turkey

The atmosphere was even bigger than the first game as Turkish fans created an electric vibe in the stadium. Two years before their historic World Cup campaign, Turkey started off its campaign here against one of the tournament favorites.
Italy's attacking force in this tournament -- Del Piero, Inzaghi, Totti and Montella. Cannavaro and Nesta (right after playing a key role in Lazio's stunning Serie A title) are the center backs while Maldini is the left-back. Buffon missed out due to injury, though.
It was a fascinatingly competitive game and it's not one of Italy's graceful strikers (or Hakan Suker) who opened the scoring, however. Current Inter coach Antonio Conte scored his second and last goal for Italy with an improvised bicycle-kick.
Turkey responded well and scored their first-ever goal at European Championship through Okan's header but Inzaghi won and converted a soft spot-kick for a final result of 2-1. Inzaghi, somehow, squandered four chances (including two sitters) from an open play, however.
Turkish left-back Abdullah (who doesn't look like Turkish a bit) had a solid game whereas Albertini and Conte bossed the game from the middle. A minute after he entered the foray, the magnificent Del Piero came close with this superb free-kick.
Germany Vs. Romania

After their uninspiring World Cup campaign, Germany brought an aging squad to Euros. Romania were undefeated in the qualifiers and should've won this game. Moldovan, who scored with a tap-in in the fifth minute, missed another in the second half.
34-years-old Häßler -- one of the ten players who are above 30 in this game (five each) -- made his 100th international cap. Scholl scored Germany's equalizer in the half-hour mark with a spectacular long-range effort.
Romanian winger Adrian Ilie is my MOTM. In a game dominated by the old guards, Deisler (20) and Mutu (19) played a bit part after coming off the bench for their respective sides. For contrasting reasons, both youngsters failed to live up to hefty expectations.
