I LOVE THIS.

This is the way I run advancement when I GM Changeling, but I hadn't thought to use it here. The idea of giving out /moves/ hadn't occurred to me.

I do think it will require a bit more GM prep-- having a sort of library of moves to pull from that can be given out for advancement. But I'm down.
Also from this thread, I am not a fan of the above the line/below the line split. (They use it in #MasksRPG, I don't remember if they do in other games.) Something I did in Resistor was just make some advancements cost 2 rather than 1. You can take them any time, if you save.
I prefer more open options, to allow for more thematic play. But to be fair, I also don't quite /get/ the Moment of Truth mechanic as well as I'd like to. That's one thing too many for me to hold in my brain as a player.
