I once read a Remnant article by Patrick Archbold which was an exercise in numerology: he was trying to show that future events were tied to the solstice of this or the occlusion of that.

I am very uncomfortable at Catholics doing this. Seems superstition.

On the one hand you have the Star of Bethlehem and no doubt other examples. On the other, a preoccupation with dating the future is not a Catholic virtue; on the contrary.
