Today, the clean technology sector (especially energy efficiency) has all of these characteristics

1) large-scale, decades-long, demand
2) wide geography
3) productive investment over speculation
We need the fight against climate change to direct investment and innovation in the way suburbanization and the cold war did in the 20th century.

If we plan for short-term “stimulus” and then remove it, we’ll just re-inflate speculative bubbles.
