Around 20m residents of the state, have to depend on just one means of transportation within a metropolitan city like Lagos, when there are other means that could been well explored.
I'll explain something to Lagos residents who are deliberate about the freedom of the state.
Residents who are willing to get value for the taxes they pay. Residents who are ready to learn how the state has been keep in the pocket of one man, who thinks he is Lagos personified. It's a simple and known logic. It's one of the logics of a tyrant which has been carefully
demonstrated in Lagos politcs so it looks like all is well. All is not well. There is nothing smart about Lagos. This is the logic;
They leave you with the road as the only means of transportation. There is so much concentration on the road, so, it begins to weaken and become
very bad that residents have to be at the mercy of the government -One of their many grips on the electorates. After so much wailing and pleas to the government, they road project is awarded to one of their own, who also sees it as a juicy offer to "eat" his own.
At this point, there are two ways to it. He either delivers a "standard" substandard project so it can be reawarded for another looting or he does a part of the project and leaves the rest for another comrade to continue with the a-loot-er of substandard projects which makes it
a periodic avenue to siphon the state resources. It is also used as a tool for campaign. They simply tell us to our faces, that we are ignorant and dumb, each time such things are used as instruments of campaign - That is how they think.
The state under some wicked persons,
prefer to leave millions of Lagos residents at the mercy of our regular yellow bus drivers whose activities are cordinated by some unchecked, illegal, uniformed persons who have become a menace to residents of the state -The Agberos.
The are also very instrumental in the hands of those who do not wish Lagos well, during elections.
