I know shit is kinda funky with employment for a lot of people right now, so I'll go ahead and share my knowledge for anyone who is worried, in need of assistance, or doesn't quite understand the situation concerning jobs, relief and unemployment: (1/?)
As far as the stimulus checks go, if you have filed a tax return in the past 2 years (2018/2019), you should be getting a check. If you were not able to file for taxes/did not file for taxes, @turbotax TurboTax has a tool to make sure you have stimulus registration (2/?)
If you are an employee who is unemployed, or furloughed; The CARES act is opening the doors to unemployment relief. To access this, check with the unemployment procedures for your state. Floridians, here you go ( http://shorturl.at/fKR26 ) (3/?)
If you are a small business owner, you have a couple options-The government doesn't want you to fail. The SBA (Small Business Administration) has two forms of relief for you; The PPP (Paycheck Protection Program) and the EIDL (Economic Injury Disaster Loan) (4/?)
The Paycheck Protection Program is something to ensure you can keep your employees well... employed. If you decide to keep your employees, the government will give you a (forgivable) grant, assuming you keep them in your employ for 8 weeks. Link here: http://shorturl.at/hvFZ7 (5/?)
For add'l costs of business, there is the EIDL (check 4/?). This is, at the very least, a $10k advance (up to $2M iirc) to help COGS/Daily Fixed Ops running. This is a 30 year loan with low interest to help float businesses through trying times. There are a couple (6/?)
requirements and caviats, but none that are terribly rigorous. The USGOV wants to get you money as easily as possible. The application can be found here ( http://shorturl.at/jtyHN ) (7/?)
For 1099 employees, hold tight. There should be more information concerning a relief package that outlines you specifically being released tomorrow (4/10). Uber drivers, Air BnB-ers, etc. do apply for the EIDL as far as I know, but it may benefit you to hold on until (8/?)
More information is released on the 10th. Quick Q/A's:
Can I apply for both the EIDL/PPP?
* From what I understand, it's a grey area. The gov't doesn't want you to double dip, but if you apply for the EIDL and the PPP, you CANNOT use money from both for payroll.

Q/A cont'd:
Has anyone received their stimulus check yet?
As of yesterday, I do not think so.
Has anyone who applied for the PPP/EIDL received anything?
AFAIK, no. Banks partnered with the SBA are currently processing applications, but that is the most I've heard. (10/?)

Q/A cont'd:
If I applied for the EIDL using the old application form, do I have to resubmit an application?
I do not believe so. From my understanding, if you applied for the EIDL and received a confirmation number, then you're in the same boat as everyone else. (11/?)

Reminder to everyone who is financing- remember that places are offering deferments on payments. House payments, car payments, credit card payments; contact your financial institution to see what they can do to help. Deferring for even 30 days is a big deal.
