What the hell does @G_I_DLE's oh my god MV (+) mean; an analyze

Satan was once an angel created by God, but got expelled from heaven after he became so impressed with his own beauty, intelligence, power, and position that they began to desire for himself the honor and glory that belonged to God alone.

The sin that corrupted Lucifer was self-generated pride. Satan's intentions were in other words never evil, Lucifer simply had another mindset that didn't fit into God's which resulted in a revolt that later on got him expelled.

Soojin is satan, it's first proven in the beginning of the MV when she's tied up. The strings replicate the bond to God, but we'll later find out that she has freed herself. This is when she has accepted who she truly is and what she's capable of.

The second time Soojin proves that she's satan is when she's seen holding an apple, the forbidden fruit of good and evil. In Adam & Eve satan disguised himself as a snake and seduced Adam and Eve to eat the apple.

Lastly is when soojin whispers "from the bottom of my heart". She seduces them away from their will of God and tell them the truth.

God in the MV isn't a higher power it's the societies social standards and the lies we're told to live up to. Satan's role as the antagonist is to seduce them away from God by giving them the knowledge of good and evil, the truth.

I belive that there's 4 parallel universes: Hell, Heaven, Limbo and Stars.

1. Heaven=Denial

2. Limbo=Confusion

3. Hell=Acceptence

4. Stars=Confidence

These are all the stages we go through when we learn how to trust ourselves.

The bitter sweet lie is heaven, we blindly follow societies standards even if we have to deny our true selves and nature. It's well captured when we see that shuhua and soyeon are surrounded by barbed wire.

Limbo is the place between heaven and hell it's proven that Minnie is in that state when she gets dragged out from heaven

Confused on who she is the viewers witness Minnie gradually get covered by the truth, the black colors represent that.

I belive that the wine represents the knowledge of good and evil. That's why Miyeon's seen dropping the cup of wine, because she doesn't want the other to obtain that power.

Stage 1: The forbidden wine of knowledge of good and evil- The truh

Stage 2: Drinking the wine

Stage 3: Expelled from heaven for drinking the wine, truth is now corrupting you in the limbo

Stage 4: You're now in hell and have accepted yourself

When we've figured out who we are and accepted ourselves, we'll go through hell for others to accept who we truly are.

She=Soojin

We've now reached the stars, accepted the truth and learned to trust ourselves and that others opinions doesn't matter in the end.

Shuhua and soyeon are the same person, shuhua represents the persona- what the world sees. While soyeon is the psyche, that's how she sees herself. It's visible when soojin whispers the truth to them, shuhua disappears and soyeon's now visible.

Uriel was the guardian of the gates of eden, unlike other angels he cared for Satan. But eventually his kindness would blind him as satan deceived Uriel into telling him where Adam & Eve where. Flames is a representative symbol for uriel.

Yuqi seen walking down a long corridor which is neither hell, heaven, stars or limbo. She's simply inbetween all of them as she guards the gate to heaven, the lantern with the flame indicates that Yuqi is indeed portrayed as uriel.

~Extra~

Although I'm not sure if this actually has anything to do with the storyline, it says Seia on the bottom line which translates to star lover in Japanese. There's also six lines which makes me question if it's suppose to be six star lovers, one line for each member.

They used snakes in the photoshoot to reference satan in disguise
