Why I support Joe Biden.

Math. He has the best chance to beat Trump, and that is the primary objective. If Bernie had won the nomination, I would be voting for him. My first choice was Warren. Maybe she will be VP, or Harris, who was my second choice. Shit happens.
I could focus on the stupid shit he has said or done, but that really does nothing to help defeat Trump. I was prompted to do this in another thread, so I will list the other things he has done that I like or respect.
Led efforts to block then-Alabama U.S. Attorney Jeff Sessions from a federal judgeship over racism allegations.

Led the opposition to the Supreme Court nomination of Robert Bork
He co-sponsored the Violence Against Women Act.

Publicly declared support for gay marriage before Obama did.

He publicly called Putin a thug. (one of my personal favorites)
On guns, he was instrumental in the passage of the Brady Bill and the assault weapons ban through the Senate in 1994.

As vice president in Obama years, Biden was actively involved in the passing of the Affordable Care Act and hugely influential in shaping the stimulus package.
Economist Jared Bernstein, who worked in the White House on Biden’s staff, said the vice president did a lot of the “spade work” on Dodd-Frank, legislation that reined in Wall Street.

He has always been a big supporter of labor unions.
He has shown a willingness to work with people across the aisle. Yes, I dislike the entire Republican party, but working with them is called governing. Possibly, just possibly he can move us back to getting one or two things done together.

Not a lot of hope here, honestly.
He has a lot of experience with foreign policy, and can - possibly - help repair some of the damage Trump has done on the international level.

He appointed California Sen. Dianne Feinstein - the first woman - to the Judiciary committee.
But I think if I have to site one thing that I like is that he has been willing to change his positions over time and admit that he has made mistakes and been wrong. This seems a very rare quality in people, particularly politicians.
Again, I can go through his record and find a lot to complain about. I do not see that as being helpful at this time. I have always held to the #VoteBlueNoMatterWho concept and now that means Joe Biden for President.
