Thinking A LOT about what I can learn from this experience. Before this, I sometimes felt guilty about sending students off on self-guided, technology-based research or creation projects. I felt like I wasn& #39;t doing enough "real teaching."
Now, I& #39;m feeling like I prepared them. I& #39;m wondering how much MORE of this I can do. I& #39;m thinking about how much kids have had to rely on themselves and their technical abilities.
I& #39;m wondering what the beginning of next year will look like. Will more teachers introduce tech as part of their beginning-of-the-year routines? Will we focus more on how to develop student confidence, competence, and autonomy while using tech?
I have so many ideas about how to create this in my STEM classroom. Is anyone else feeling/thinking this?
@engageducate @teachmsfadden this thread kind of hits on your question! I will say--my thinking changes every day. When I tweeted this I was thinking, "okay, my kids are prepared!" now I& #39;m wishing I had given them even more!
