Everyone's feelings are very big right now (credit to @snarkbat for the phrasing). We're all experiencing a trauma, some in slow motion, some very quickly, and it's making emotions hard to deal with. Essentially, we're all six years old again.
Not quite toddlers--we have the self-control not to get down on the floor and scream, although go with that if it makes you feel better and won't scare anyone--but not adults, either. Our emotional regulation is broken. Good things seem better. Bad things seem worse.
Try to grant each other grace if you can. Try to grant YOURSELF grace. If someone says you hurt their feelings, say sorry. If someone says sorry, try to move on. I am not saying "forgive your abusers." I'm saying I got my feelings hurt because @ockapus missed a cute commercial.
Just try to hold on to the fact that your feelings are big and bruised, and maybe that's why things seem like so much, and that's happening to everyone, so maybe your friends can't handle your normal teasing because their feelings are filling the room.
