On my 2020 Census form, for the question of race (and national origin), I checked
“Some other race” and wrote “Jewish” because that's how I identify. My Ashkenazi ancestors were NOT Romanian, Russian, Ukrainian, or Polish. Were were NEVER considered part of those nationalities.
