In case anybody missed it, Radiohead have committed to weekly concert uploads to help people in isolation. The first one premieres tonight at 10pm GMT. It's a performance from 2000, and was recorded in Dublin(!)
If anyone's curious about the timeline, this concert took place shortly after they released Kid A, and about eight months before Amnesiac came out (although they performed one song from the latter, which was still unnamed at the time - will leave it as a surprise)
I'll be watching this later on anyway. If anybody else is, I'd love to chat about it while it's live! Feel free to reply to this tweet when it kicks off and we can attend a virtual concert from 20 years ago together!
Last few tweets for now (although will pick this up when the concert starts, so you should mute this thread if you're not interested in seeing Radiohead stuff): This is a really cool period of Radiohead history, because it's when they started experimenting //
with the electronic influences that shape so much of the music they've released over the last two decades. This concert was six days (!) after the release of Kid A, so it captures a really cool, 20-year-old moment that defined a movement.
