@EppingUplandsch celebrated Robyn's 7th Birthday yesterday. Strange in lockdown.

But as we were about to have party tea, we were evacuated because next door 1 terrace was alight.

Very frightening experience especially for Robyn and her sisters.
They were all very brave...
...We're very thankful to all the emergency services for their fast & brave response. Thanks to them we are still a family.

They risk their lives on a daily basis but have this nasty virus to contend with now.

True Heroes everyone.....
....Would also like to thank our neighbour's over the road for welcoming us into their gardens, providing warm blankets, drinks, PPE and distraction for the kids, especially during this time of social distancing.

We're so thankful for such a lovely community.
.....I'm so proud of our girls. They acted impeccably & observed social distancing. Becca protected Robyn, whilst we dealt with officials & elderly neighbour's. Harri watched the dog & provided tea/coffee/cake to responders until after 4am once we got home.
We don't know what caused the fire, but can I implore anyone who reads this thread,

TEST YOUR SMOKE ALARM.
NOW!

This happened in daylight. We fear if it had been at night this would have been far more destructive & devastating.

Stay safe.
