So after much reflection I have come to realise how living during the lockdown is much like the film 'The Shining'. Better yet, it can all be demonstrated with the joy of gifs.

We live with my parents whilst we save for a house. My mum has (on numerous occasions) cornered me for 20-30 minute periods to tell me about interesting things, like how she has so much compost at the moment she doesn't know what to do with it.

not to mention the time where I went into the kitchen for a coffee and couldn't leave until 55 minutes later. She just needed to tell me about how one of her chickens was 'bunged up'

I work from home a lot but now everyone else is here too, they either have time off or are also working from home. They think that I also have nothing to do and don't understand why I have to continue with calls and video conferences

it's almost 3 weeks into lockdown and clearly I am going a little mad being locked up

inevitably all the things that need to be done around the house have been done and the fridge comes-a-calling. But there is nothing to eat so you just stand there gazing into nothingness.
