The truth is that the majority of people who would have turned out for Bernie and who now won't turn out at all aren't even on Twitter, they are in neighborhoods and cities around the country that have been abandoned by Democrats and the people yelling at me won't go there either
Even if you were to convince me, which you won't, I'm in a small minority. Your time would be better spent talking to the people in counties with shit infrastructure, terrible schools, no clean water etc.
But that would indicate an interest in winning as opposed to an interest in winning an election as opposed to scoring points in some vague symbolic moral economy
Bernie or Bust isn't a movement lead by podcasters and OpEd writers online it is just the reality that a lot of people who have been left behind by the political system are going to do because their basic needs aren't being addressed by the current political system
But this is the other issue with Lesser Evilism: It confuses disaffection for objectivity. Because, ultimately, there is only a difference between 1000 drone bombings and 2000 if none of those bombs are hitting you.
