twitter ate my first attempt at this, BUT! PROCESS! Do you preplan a map for a story? Do you find out what it is as you write? Some mix of the two?

I usually know where I& #39;m going and will plot out major plot points, but then only outline/beat a certain amount ahead. Then I& #39;ll write that, outline the next bit, write that, etc. Sometimes the plot points change when i have a better idea as I& #39;m writing!

sometimes I just jump in and start writing, and that& #39;s how you end up with a 55k story from the prompt "beach"

anyway, i& #39;m always v curious about other people& #39;s processes, and if anyone wants to expand on theirs, i& #39;d love to hear it <3
