Anti-Muslim bias of many senior journalists/editors is not sudden.
In yrs of TV journalism,I’ve seen covertly communal,casteist & anti-women editors ruling the newsrooms.
Difference in post 2014 India is now their bigotry is rewarded and gives a ticket to proximity to the power.

Once I raised the issue of underrepresentation of Dalits/Tribals,editor of a large TV network said “Agar khabar break hui,to pehle mein Dalit aur Adivasi reporter ko talaash karun kya?Jismen yogyata hogi wo jayega.”

On another occasion,I was traveling to a Muslim country for election coverage.Incidentally,the Cameraperson assigned to me was also a Muslim(as per the roster it was his turn)
