Rangers have proposed a rule change that would allow the SPFL to provide interest-free loans to clubs equal to the amount they would receive in prize money at the end of the season, @TheAthleticUK understands.

While many clubs are backing the SPFL proposal to terminate the leagues, the feeling among some clubs is that the much-needed prize money has been used as the carrot to “railroad” through what was the only proposal on the table. https://theathletic.com/1732733/2020/04/09/
The payments would be adjustable at the end of the season. So, if a team receive money now for finishing x but finish y, there is flexibility.

Rangers believe this solves the pressing issue of cash flow for teams and allows more time to debate the sporting side of things.
