I'm Muslim, I don't have the cachet of a Western-country-passport & I've said this before: you can't ask me to choose between Muslim Ban 2.0 vs. Drone Striking Native Country to Oblivion 2.0. At a certain point, this is a politics of disinclination sets in. Shaming me won't work.
A politics of disinclination does nothing to move me. It gives me no reason to contribute to a landscape that doesn't want me.

This, I suspect, is why turnout was so depressed in 2016. Voting is not convenient. Inspect structural barriers before voter shaming.
That's all I really want to say about #NeverBiden #DemExit etc etc. @mehdirhasan honestly, I don't want to cuss you out as much as I want to let you know how disappointing it is that structural analysis seems to elude you. What you ask *feels* both empty & very grueling. Ask why.
As an example: if voting was as easy as checking my email, voting for Biden may well be easy. I make shitty choices every time I go to the grocery store. But voting is not easy. It is structurally incredibly fucking hard so stop & think before you browbeat.
FYI: I'm not a citizen, I cannot vote. Don't tell me how to vote, I'm simply illustrating how the way I think can possibly show you how others think as well (and certainly how I think with people in my life who can vote!)
