This is what really drives me nuts. The papers and media of record have to take every story, no matter how horrific, no matter how much a crisis it represents, and then numb it down until it is "acceptable," even if it doesn't reflect objective reality.

Trump is literally killing thousands upon thousands of Americans in an act of political genocide. He's damning Americans to lonely, agonizing deaths because he expects political fealty and worship.

That is one of the most consequential stories. Ever. And it's just...this mush.

The people sitting in their offices and conference rooms and at their desks know that a horrifying injustice is being committed. They see it happening. They have power to at least bring it to the light.

And yet. This garbage. And the truth is moved to like the 12th graf.

The media has been trained by Right Wing criticism and their own fears of their own bias that they can no longer report objective reality.

Trump uses that against them. This criminal enterprise uses the media inability to actually report the news to further their interests.
