I'm less than a hundred followers away from 1,000, which is a thing I never thought I would end up saying. I think I might want to hit that milestone? So in this thread I'll talk a little bit about what I do, and if it all sounds cool to you, go ahead and Follow. (RTs okay)
Hi! I'm Dee. I'm a game writer, layout designer, and budding HTML/CSS intermediate. I make games on itchio. I don't publish on DriveThruRPG or DM's Guild.

I talk a lot about my own games, and I frequently write tutorial threads about layout design.
I'm a parent of two small children. No, I will not share their names. No, I will not post photos of them. They're beautiful little chaos-beasts and you will never see them.

I talk about my kids occasionally, but I very rarely give out parenting advice.
I hold firmly socialist views, and I agree with and try to support anti-racist action when I have the energy to do so. I don't have any tolerance for abusers or bigots, and have no problem calling them out. If I don't call someone out by name, it's often to avoid name-searchers.
I run a server on Discord that is dedicated to games work, but I don't aim to be a community leader. I have run online communities before, both as a moderator and as an administrator. I've been a rules-maker before.

Sometimes I talk about that.
I'm White. My ancestors are Irish and Italian. Some of them owned slaves. Most of them were racist. My brother is not White.

I have complicated feelings about Whiteness, what it is and what it isn't. I occasionally talk about that. I try not to, but sometimes do, mess up.
I'm physically abled. I have dead angles I'm trying to get rid of when it comes to ableism bias.

I'm at least one shade of (undiagnosed) neurodivergent, and I experience depression on a semi-regular basis.
Oh yeah, and I'm queer. My umbrella is "non-binary". I like "enby" as a noun for myself, and my pronouns are "they/them". I'm gonna be talking about that more now.

(If you're struggling with or questioning your gender, it's okay to come talk to me about it. It's never too late.)
I have a survival job with a salary, which mostly goes to paying for student loans and my kids' daycare, in addition to typical expenses for shelter, food, and transportation.

I don't manage the money in my household, so I don't always have a clear picture of what I can afford.+
+That means I don't often donate to causes. I've lost jobs suddenly before, been unemployed for several months at a time and worried about losing everything.

But I do signal-boost when I can. I do game giveaways on behalf of GoFundMe's. If you need help, that's what I can offer.
So...follow me? I tweet a LOT throughout the work day, but less in the evenings (Eastern US time).

Come play my games on itch, buy something I made. Talk to me if you've got something you need to talk about.

I guess that's it.
Oh! One more thing.
I know that not everybody feels this way, but unless I say explicitly on a tweet or a thread that retweets are okay, please ask before you retweet my stuff. Most of the time it's okay. Sometimes it's very much not. Just ask first, even if someone else has already gotten the OK.
