Since we're talking about covers of old songs, do you know of any covers that are better/on par with the original song?

Jeff Buckley's 'Hallelujah' cover of Bob Dylan's song comes to mind.
Then there's Whitney Houston's 'I will always love you' cover of Dolly Parton's original
Okay to clarify, I mean popular covers done by other popular bands / artists. I'm sure there are a lot of covers by not-so-known artists that are genuinely good but we'll discuss them at a later time.
