As many celebs in the west have been getting on Zoom for interview in this corona era, it& #39;s been difficult to get Korean celebs to do the same. Either they think zoom iv is too casual or labels take risk-averse approach bc they handle everything (=not many comm professionals)
I once interviewed someone and at the end she wouldn& #39;t let us use her photo, insisting that her agency has to photoshop and do a "quality control." To be blunt, labels want to create their own narrative w stars and press interview is just a hassle and unnecessary risk for them.
I know many here believe, or would like to believe a factory model no longer exists in Kpop but it& #39;s not entirely true. I& #39;ve seen Kpop idols self-censoring themselves. Almost every answer pretty much go back to thanking fans (which is nice, but sometimes doesn& #39;t rly answer my q).
