I'm at the part of this hike where I always get lost help-
I never remember the right way

I kinda took a random turn like "it will lead me somewhere eventually" put that on my tombstone plz

Was right on the first random turn

I am now at my second random turn

SECOND RANDOM TURN IMMEDIATELY LEAD TO A THIRD RANDOM TURN I WILL GET LOST

I survived, I am home

OKAY I DIDN'T REALLY WANT TO SHARE TOO MUCH PICTURES AT FIRST BECAUSE MOST PEOPLE ARE LOCKED UP AT HOME (here hikes, walks and going jogging is legal under certain conditions, which is why I went on a hike on my own)
BUT MAYBE IT'LL MAKE PEOPLE FROM CITIES HAPPY TO SEE THE FOREST

I met a little friend and they were not too scared, which was cute

So the main "touristic" attraction of this hike is "Le chêne à l'image", the... "Picture oak"?
This used to be a catholic pilgrimage site. People came here to pray. They would raise a part of the tree's bark and put pictures or religious objects there before putting the bark back

This is why this oak is all "bloated". The bark grew back around the objects left inside of him.
You can't legally do it anymore.

There's still a picture of the Virgin Mary, in a little wooden structure. You can see it in this video!

So. After the Chêne à l'image, this is kind of where I get lost. But again... BEAUTIFUL TREES!!!

this is where u go if you don't want to respect social distancing. People just go in there and illegally hug each other. This cannot not be true

THIS PART WAS SO GREEN AND BEAUTIFUL ALREADY (some part weren't yet, some trees are still budding and there are still some autumn leaves on some trees!!) so this place she felt like "whoa"

It was nice to go to a forest. I only saw very few people, and it was all pretty and beautiful and I want to go back already-

I HOPE THAT IF PEOPLE SEE THIS THREAD THEY ENJOYED SEEING SOME GREENERY AND IT BROUGHT THEM A LITTLE BIT OF PEACE TO SEE A LITTLE THRIVING FOREST AND COMING BACK TO LIFE FOR SPRING
