Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about Y2K and how the story 20 years ago was “scientists overreacted” instead of “scientists worked round the clock to avoid disaster when an issue was identified.” https://twitter.com/pbump/status/1248085700593008640
Scientists identified an issue and people in power believed them AND resourced them to fix the problem. We shouldn’t have to live through chaos to understand the threat of chaos. And our leadership should be protecting us by trusting experts.
