Happy birthday to Jaya Bachchan, nee Bhaduri who turned 72 today.

For brownie points, we kindly request both @SrBachchan and @juniorbachchan to retweet our thread on facts about her.
She made her Bollywood debut in the 1971 movie, Guddi directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee and written by Gulzar.

The opening scene of the movie was shot in FTII as she was a student there at the time of shooting.
Her first celluloid appearance was in Satyajit Ray's Mahanagar. Here's what the legendary @joybhattacharj shared on twitter last year. https://twitter.com/joybhattacharj/status/1115455476924407809
Jaya Bhaduri's father Tarun Kumar Bhaduri was a renowned journalist and writer.

Among other works, he wrote "Obhishtopol Chambal" about dacoity in the Chambal Valley. A certain Amjad Khan read this while preparing for the role of Gabbar Singh in Sholay.

The rest is history.
