/ My sister is an ICU nurse at Royal North Shore. During her 12-hr night shifts the one relief she gets is a free coffee from the wonderful baristas who run Short Black Night Shift - a coffee cart which visits hospitals all around Sydney ☕️ 🚨 👩🏻‍⚕️ 🥼
/ But @Willoughbycity needs to issue a new form to the coffee cart so they can comply with new COVID19-19 restrictions... but won’t issue it til Tuesday at the earliest when their offices reopen. That means the frontline health workers at RNSH won’t get their 3.30am pick-me-up
/ Surely the mayor @GailGilesGidney and @willoughbycity should make an exception for the long weekend - it’s the least they can do for everyone working so hard in the hospital on the night shift?! Give them a break, guys! @robstokes - can you step in here??
/ Other @willoughbycity councillors - can you do something to get the Short Black Night Shift team the clearance they need so they can give our frontline health workers a coffee at 3.30am?? @CraigWestWard @Ang4Willoughby @CrNicWright @hugherik @BrendonZhu
/ Anyone who works night shift knows how hard it can be at the best of times, let alone in a hospital dealing with a pandemic! @BradHazzard @GladysB - go on, help the Short Black Night Shift baristas give the nurses and doctors at Royal North Shore their much-needed coffees!
/ the Short Black Night Shift team have put more details on their Insta account about why they currently aren’t allowed to deliver ☕️ to RNSH https://www.instagram.com/p/B-wRp_8h_0G/?igshid=j2gl84kloa2x
