BY THE WAY, I'm reading Adrian Tchaikovsky's Children of Ruin, sequel to Children of Time, on the advice of @psmith, and it is the best science fiction I have read in *years*. World-building, character, tense plot, and good science. Absolutely brilliant, cannot praise too highly
