Who fancies coming with me for a short walk?
The wide sky, the open sea, the curved horizon.
A little beach chamomile?
The sound of shore and gull.
The morning drink is popular.
Hello, friends.
These walls are at least as old as the oldest maps of this island. Some guess they date back to Picts. Who probably also had to repair them when the bulls would reach for the grass on the other side and topple them.
A rock breaker, a marker cairn, and Meg.
Peedie Badger is enjoying this walk. I hope you are, too!
The North Atlantic is a little feistier than the North Sea (in the earlier photo) but they seem to get on ok today.
Peg and the old quarry.
Dried reminders of recent floods.
A few weeks ago this was still wet with winter, now it's rich, dark earth.
Heading home. They can open the gate but they wait.
And back to the bay. Meg is looking for her selkie friends, but they aren't about just now.
Peedie Badger catching up.
And that's us home, to the end of the line. Time for a drink and a sit down.

Thanks for keeping me company! I hope you enjoyed our slow, short stroll.
