So I've been listening to Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill non-stop, and then tried to listen to her other stuffs and I fell in love with her album 'Never For Ever', and its gorgeous cover art <3

A mini thread, maybe.
At first 'Babooshka' played randomly on my spotify, and it was like maybe daaaays ago? I hit that love button to save the song, but completely forgot about it- until I played it again today. https://open.spotify.com/track/6VpNGCU2ig4NQmsLfALdJU?si=nnsZul7MTWCzl2dAR0BeIg
In a glimpse the pretty cover art has this Dark Crystal vibe// and I was hooked, but I wanted to get a closer look so I searched around and turns out it's a buncha animals & creatures emerging from Kate Bush's skirt! What's the story behind ittttt I needed to knooooow
Luckily it's documented and the artist is Nick Price. Here's a link to an article about his work with some samples of his illustrations! http://linesandcolors.com/2013/06/07/nick-price/
It is said that Kate Bush gave Nick Price a brief for the cover, and here's her quote from an interview:
"A lot of people think it’s hilarious that all the ideas are coming out from under my skirt. But the good and bad things pour out of me in the form of music..."

Here's Nick Price's illustration for 'December Will Be Magic Again' 's single sleeve~
Another for the back cover of the single 'Sat in Your Lap' <3
And so I'm here like, still processing how a single song introduced me to these awesome arts and artists, collaborating together and I'm, well I'm basically fangirling XD
On the songs from the album itself, I'm currently into 'Blow Away'.

It was a surprise, midway I thought it was something straight out of a musical number :')
I searched around for the story behind it, and found that the song asks the question: where do musicians go when they die?
Here's an excerpt from her interview: "Although the song had been formulating before and had to be written as a comfort to those people who are afraid of dying, there was also this idea of the music, energies in us that aren't (CONT)
(CONT) physical: art, the love in people. It can't die, because where does it go?"

Well that definitely gave me a mini existential crisisđŸ€Ł
I'm not sure where this thread is going but if I find something else related to Kate Bush and Nick Price, I might add them here :')
