Communal tensions in rural Karnataka are rising.

Announcement in Ramnagar district: Muslims are not allowed in the village. No one is allowed to work for them. If you do, pay a fine of Rs 500,1000.

Doubts are arising that the order was put out in mischief. But in fact, the local panchayat leader put out the order regarding ostracism.

Some had doubts that the man explicitly says "Muslims" in the video. He says the word "Sahibru" twice, which is slang for Muslims in parts of Karnataka.
