Caroline Cox is a Research Scientist in the Earth Observation and Atmospheric Science Division at RAL Space. Caroline shared a blog with us explaining how the team works to make sure that the data we get from #EarthObservation #satellites is accurate 🛰️ https://www.ralspace.stfc.ac.uk/Pages/Looking-after-Sentinel-3-for-climate-and-weather-monitoring-.aspx
Part of Caroline’s role is to provide expert support for the Sea and Land Surface Temperature Radiometer (SLSTR) instrument aboard Sentinel-3. The SLSTR uses a spinning mirror to observe a few pixels at a time across Earth. Here's how it works (📽️📷 @ESA) https://www.esa.int/ESA_Multimedia/Videos/2016/05/Sea_and_Land_Surface_Temperature_Radiometer_technical_view#.Xo7ce0Rf0uQ.link
Now it’s over to you - can you solve our SLSTR brainteaser? 🤯 See if you've got the skills to become a RAL Space research scientist. Your multiple choice answer options are coming up in our next tweet... but we'll leave you a bit of time to work it out!
Here are your multiple choice options. We’ll share the correct answer with you at 6pm today.
