Screw it my payback is going to be to fund a community scholarship for my high school where students need to write a 500 word critique of administration and what they'd do differently. Upon receiving the award their essay will be read aloud to admin. That's it. I'm doing it.
$200? That's decent right?
I'm literally offering a scholarship. What is the school gonna do, say no?
This train of thought is born from the fact that despite applying for like a dozen community scholarships and being the single most active student in the social studies department, I won none of my school's scholarships or awards.
Many who did win awards had even dropped out of the clubs that I then ran for multiple years. Look y'all know me; I wasn't any different in HS. Teachers and other students were shocked that I didn't get any awards.
So why didn't I? I cannot definitively say, but I believe it was my politics and regular critique of the utter failure of a system that was Sayville High School. I caused trouble because I dared to say anything, and more so because I organized others to do the same.
It wasn't like I was tearing everything down. I started the debate team, led the MUN team, and was class president for two years. I won something like a dozen awards combined between MUN, debate, and science competitions. But Sayville HS didn't care. Because that school is a sham
So, I want to empower students to point that out in my absence. There you go Johnny, $200 to tell the racist assistant principal who stormed out of the room in a hissy fit when the phrase "Black Lives Matter" left my lips (true story) to go fuck himself
Oh the other component here is that I was banned from all school property because on a visit back I criticized West Point and someone who committed there got upset, told their parents, who called the school, and then the principal banned me under threat of prosecution
