Yale GSAS sent out this bizarre form to students years 4-7 on “COVID Impact”...

If a “blanket solution” won’t work, as GSAS insists, how can this extremely broad and over-simplified form help? It’s “blanket” over every discipline and offers no space to describe anything.
And if it’s just to gather information, why not send it to every student, including those in the lower years, in order to assess their need? Sending it just to years 4-7 suggests they’ve already made a decision and will just use this survey to support w/e they’ve already decided.
I feel like at some point I was willing to recognize that this is a complex situation and maybe a blanket solution wouldn’t be best for us, but every new move from the admin infuriates and insults me. What are they thinking?
it’s not even a google form! it’s a Microsoft Word document! who did this!!!!
will my “academic” “progress” be “delayed” by “at least” a “term” “due to” COVID-19? the entire world is being delayed by at least a term, whatever that means!
