38 teams in India play Ranji Trophy. Approx 800 players partcipate in the elite domestic tournament yet we still expect one player to bowl 10 overs of seam bowling, bat at a SR of 200, and finish games then the prob is with the board and the team. 1/n

The problem with the Indian team is not Pandya or Dube or any other allrounder but Kohli, Shashtri, and the talent recruiting team. They have used these allrounders (primarily HP) as scapegoats to hide their own incompetence in identifying and allocating appropriate resources 2/n

Stats on HP (only ODIs)
HP played his first ODI in 2016 on Oct 16. Since then he has been part of 54 matches in the past 3 years. Some facts now:
Bowled 10 overs: 18 mtchs 33%
Bowled 8 overs: 6 mtchs 11%
6 overs: 5 matches 10.9%
5 ovrs: 8M 15% 3/n

Our team bought Jadeja in place of HP. HP was needed to complete his full quota only 33% of matches he has been part of. His ability to tonk spinners at will and to bat at 200 SR was never cared for by our beloved mgmt. Jadeja has played 39 matches since HP's debut 4/n

Completed 10 overs in 28 matches that is 79% of his matches. Since Jul 09 2019, the last of Pandya, India have played 5 bowlers in all the 13 ODIs in which Jadeja complete 10 overs in 9 matches. (70% again). HP has been lucky to have 6th bowling option in 90% of matches. 5/n

So, Twitterati some quick questions for you:
Has Jadeja been that bad as 5th bowler?
Or Has the TM over-estimated from Jadeja the bowler?
Is Pandya the hitter replaced by consolidators like Iyer or Pandey (no offense to both)
Dube was in the squad for 10 odi matches but played 1.

That too as the 4th bowler. Why? So, who has started the hooplah about Pandya the allrounder? You, me or Mr. KOHLI? Pandya is key but seeing his fragile body, I doubt he will be used to complete 10 overs every match. So, whose work is this to over-hype Pandya's absence? 6/n
