iwaoi au where iwaizumi is an er resident and oikawa is a detective and their paths cross when oikawa gets a head injury, wakes up in the hospital with no recollection of how he got there, thinks he’s dead, mistakes his doctor for god and asks why god has hedgehog hair

in this au bokuto is oikawa’s partner in solving crime and he listens to oikawa lament about how he “totally lost a chance with doctor iwa chan” and “will never see him again” and offers him helpful solutions like “maybe you should ask for his number”

meanwhile kuroo is another one of oikawa’s coworkers who suggests that he get an injury or something so he’ll end up in the er and then goes “here i’ll start” and pretends to lunge at him with a knife

oikawa ends up in the er with minor injuries and he tags along when his squad gets injured and he always asks for iwaizumi and it becomes annoying to the point that nurse!suga only has to see the top of oikawa’s annoying hair to go “doctor iwaizumi, your detective boy is here!!”

there’s a betting pool about when iwaizumi will finally cave and let the loser detective take him out. cardio resident!terushima started the bet and the most surprising participant is neuro resident!ushijima.
