ANYWAY I just made some popcorn and I'm gonna watch Scream 2 (one of my faves of the franchise) watch this thread if you wanna see a pseudo livetweet
I LOVE the in-universe Stab franchise and the sheer ghoulishness of the fact that it's meant to be based on REAL MURDERS THAT OCCURRED IN THIS UNIVERSE. Poor Sidney
Also in general one of the best things about Scream is it does meta, self-aware humor in a way that a lot of other movies have tried and couldn't pull off
I love the intro to this one. This woman's bf sucks for making her go to a scary movie!!!! She doesn't like it!!! She wanted to see Sandra Bullock!!!!
Stabbed in the E A R
Just an audience at a slasher film slowly realizing someone was just really killed in front of them....god it's so good
Sidney in her first scene with her caller ID. I ADORE her. Side note it's MONSTROUS that people call and harass her because of the movie based on the murders of her friends
As is always the case in movies, Sidney's freshman dorm is WAY too nice.
Randy is one of my favorite character archetypes, it's my jam. I ADORE the audience surrogate character, the fan of the very thing he's in. The Abed.
Also it's so delightfully bold for a horror sequel to include the line "the horror genre was destroyed by sequels"
GALE WEATHERS!!! GAAAALE!!!! I'd do anything for Gale Weathers, a true and original bad bitch. also her chunky red highlights in this movie SEND me
Listen. I've been a theatre major. I don't buy that Sidney has a lead role in a show opening in two days and ISN'T in rehearsal every single night?? It's tech week, girl!!!!!!!!!
also as someone who was in a sorority in college and never really owned pastels or Kate Spade I'm always a little tickled by Movie Sororities
Gale "I'm not here to be loved" Weathers
ALSO we're 2/2 on Scream movies where Sidney punches Courtney Cox in the face
Also it's such a fun trope of these films that the most famous actor in them ALWAYS dies
Sarah Michelle Gellar RIP
